When your emotions either boil over or sink deeper than your body is able to process. Too much, too fast.

flooding is when you are out of your “window of tolerance”. It takes practice to identify the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that lead up to the flood. Once we begin to see the patterns of what the triggers are, we then find the right interventions that cool your nervous system down, and bring you back into the present moment.
