get a journal

Sometimes clients come to session and say “I forget what we talked about last week” or “I always know what to do when I’m in here, but once I’m in my outside life, I forget everything I learned in here”.

Writing helps me remember, it doesn’t work for everyone, but I’ve been carrying these journals to offer to clients for the last few years, and my limited data shows…..the people who are taking notes, writing between sessions, and coming to session with inquiries built on previous conversations are noticing more “intentional” sessions.

They are not flowery, or woo woo. They are note and data collection, and a place to write down session epiphanies so that you can remind yourself how brilliant you are.
